Who is responsible for your information
Phrenetech Ltd is the data controller. Phrenetech Ltd trades as Life and Loss and as
Funeral Experts. You can contact us about anything on this page, including any request
about your information, by emailing
jason.ghous@phrenetech.com.
What we collect, and why
If you ask us to tell you when Life and Loss launches, we record your email address,
the date and time of your request, the fact that you ticked the consent box, the exact
wording you agreed to, the page you submitted from, the IP address our server saw when
you submitted the form, and your browser's user-agent string.
The email address is used only to send you the launch update described in the consent
wording. The date, time, consent wording and IP address are kept as evidence that the
consent was freely given, which we are required to be able to demonstrate. The IP
address and user-agent string also help us detect and limit automated abuse of the form.
If you telephone us or email Jason Ghous directly, that conversation is handled
separately from this page and is not recorded by this website.
Our lawful bases
- Sending you the launch email — your consent, under Article 6(1)(a)
of the UK GDPR and regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications
Regulations 2003.
- Keeping a record that you consented — our legal obligation to be
able to demonstrate consent, under Articles 5(2) and 7(1) of the UK GDPR.
- Keeping the form secure and limiting abuse — our legitimate
interests in protecting this service, under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR.
Who else can see it
We do not sell, share or reuse this list for any other marketing. The only third party
involved is our hosting provider, IONOS, which provides the server this page runs on
and therefore stores the information on our behalf under a written contract. We use no
analytics provider, no advertising network and no marketing platform for this page.
Where it is held
Your information is stored on our server in the United Kingdom. We do not transfer it
outside the United Kingdom.
How long we keep it
We are finalising our retention periods for this launch list with our adviser. The agreed
periods will be published in this notice before the launch email is sent. In the
meantime we keep only what is described above, and you can ask us to delete it at any
time.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have
it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to
receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, email
jason.ghous@phrenetech.com.
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to
give. Email jason.ghous@phrenetech.com
and we will remove you from the launch list. Withdrawing consent does not affect
anything we did before you withdrew it. Every email we send you will also carry a
simple way to unsubscribe.
Cookies and tracking
This page sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, heatmap, session-replay
or fingerprinting technology. The fonts and images are served from this site, not from
a third party. That is why you are not being asked to accept cookies.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so
we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information
Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk,
or by telephoning 0303 123 1113.
