Accessibility statement
How accessible this website is, and how to tell us about a problem. Version 1.0, prepared 10 October 2026.
This statement applies to lifeandloss.uk. Life and Loss is provided by Phrenetech Ltd.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- move through the whole website using just a keyboard
- use the website with a screen reader
- use every page and form with JavaScript switched off
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
We have also written the website in plain English, and if something goes wrong with a form, it keeps what you have typed.
Compliance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. Our own testing found no failures against that standard. Until an independent audit confirms it, we describe the website as partially compliant.
Content that is not accessible
We do not know of any content on this website that fails the standard. Some links take you to other organisations' websites, such as GOV.UK and the NHS. We are not responsible for how accessible those websites are.
How we tested this website
The website was tested on 9 and 10 October 2026, before launch, by the team that built it. We used automated testing on every page at desktop and mobile sizes, and checked the menus, forms and step-by-step sections by keyboard and with JavaScript switched off. It has not yet been tested by an independent accessibility specialist or by people who use assistive technology every day.
